1. Evaluate segmental epidermal and dermal gene expression through laser microdissection, mRNA extraction, amplification, and microaray chip hybridization genetic profiling and gene annotation to better understand the impact of skin resurfacing on skin rejuvenation.

2. In utero cleft palate repair and midface distraction and the impact of early tissue repair and reorganization on the osteogenic and wound healing potentials in the post-natal period.
